7th Sister

7th Sister is a Mid-Atlantic restaurant and gathering house located inside the historic Houck Mansion at 228 North Market Street in Frederick, Maryland. Inspired by the six Houck sisters who built the home in 1890, the restaurant imagines the house itself as the mysterious “seventh sister”—a keeper of stories, memory, and spirit. Led by Chef Christian Blouin—formerly of Firestone’s and Hootch & Banter—the menu draws on coastal flavors, seasonal ingredients, and regional traditions, with thoughtful, creative dishes rooted in community and craft. 7th Sister is also part of a larger creative vision. In partnership with SilverVox, a nonprofit supporting film, music, and performance art, the house has been reimagined as a living cultural landmark—where food, story, and the arts meet under one roof.
