Carey Hilliard's is a family-owned small restaurant chain named after its founder, Carey Sr. He started the restaurant in 1960 after hitchhiking to Savannah, and working for his brother Bill Hilliard - on Victory Drive. The original menu featured $1 Bar B-Q plates, $1 Shrimp Dinners, and $.10 teas, onion rings, and milk shakes. The company is looking to expand over the next decade. Known best for fried shrimp, fresh-brewed iced tea, hush puppies, and famous barbecue sauce. Casual dining with lots of options for quick service.
