Welcome to Jasper Murdock's Alehouse at The Norwich Inn The Norwich Inn has a foundation that dates back to 1797 when Colonel Jasper Murdock served his first ale. Since 1797 the restaurant has constantly evolved to what it is today. At Jasper Murdock's Alehouse, we provide one menu throughout several dining areas including our casual pub, the Newhart Room, our formal dining room the Terrace and in warmer months our outdoor patio . Our menu consists of fresh seasonal salads, quality pub fare and a few delicious entrees. We pride ourselves on our team, several of whom have been at the Inn for many years and who all provide exceptional service. We are proud to feature an onsite brewery that focuses on handcrafted English ales. We have been brewing beers on site since 1993, making us one of the oldest microbreweries in Vermont.
