Poplar is open Thursday - Saturday evenings starting at 5pm and features the best foraged and sourced ingredients from the Mid-Atlantic and beyond. Chef Iulian Fortu offers small and medium sized shared plates that are available a la carte, but each menu is designed for two people to share in its entirety. Dinner menus change weekly and are posted 1-4 days before service, but if you are willing to eat anything we recommend just trusting Chef! However, we can accommodate most dietary preferences with at least three days notice. Simply book a reservation at least three days in advance and note your preferences at booking. Within three days, please email Sam@PoplarKennedy.com to confirm. The Weekend Menu is posted on Tuesday and allows for more time to accommodate dietary needs. The Thursday Menu consists of special dishes in short supply, is posted the day before service, and is perfect for guests that want to try some of Chef's many one off special dishes. Poplar Happy Hour - 25% off Drinks - happens all night Thursday and 5-6pm on Weekends and can be enjoyed by all patrons. We encourage reservations but always accept walk-ins so long as we have space. We do not take reservations for our uncovered patio, which is open whenever the weather allows. Kids must be seated at all times and are welcome so long as they respect the experience of other guests. We do have high chairs but we do not have a kid's menu, kid's cups, or a changing station. If you will need a high chair please note that on your reservation and do not count your child toward your reservation count. Poplar charges a 20% service charge on all checks. Additionally gratuity is not expected but always appreciated.
